Location of Ali area:
Ali area is located in the southwest border of China, west of Xizang Autonomous Region and north of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (Qiangtang Plateau). There are Dahengshan Mountain, Guogan Gannian Mountain, Margang Sam Mountain, Gezha Mountain and Qianjiabona Mountain in the east, facing Naqu City; Southeast to the middle of the Gangdise Mountains, in accordance with Shigatse City; It borders the southern foot of Kunlun Mountain in the north and is connected with Hotan area of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture.
The southwest and west are close to the western segment of the Himalayas, bordering Nepal, India and Kashmir. Located between 78 24' ~ 86 20' east longitude and 29 41'~ 35 52' north latitude, it spans 742 kilometers from east to west and 688 kilometers from north to south, covering an area of 345,000 square kilometers.
