At this time, in order to make the car more powerful, the most direct and effective means is to modify the ECU. In recent years, this method has been greatly welcomed by modified car owners. The reason is not only direct and effective, but more importantly, it is extremely cost-effective, and it is simply imperceptible from the appearance.
The ECU upgrade does not need to modify the engine.
There are many brands of ECU modification methods in the market: one is to replace the chip or directly update the packaging program corresponding to a certain model written for professional engineers; Another is to install external computer hardware, and write your own setup program as needed. Compared with the first software modification, the biggest advantage of plug-in computer is that it can supply oil at high speed and ignite at any time according to demand. Its diversified functions make it the first choice for large modified vehicles.
In order to obtain perfect power boost, accurate adjustment is very important.
As we all know, the modified ECU will adjust the fuel supply, ignition timing, turbine pressure and other parameters, and the fuel injection directly affects the air-fuel ratio. Theoretically, the most complete and sufficient mixing ratio of mixed oil and gas is 14.7, but in practice, this mixing ratio changes and needs to be analyzed and corrected by computer in time. Ignition timing is the time to ignite the mixed oil and gas.
External ECU (widely used in Japanese cars)
Theoretically, the ignition time is to make the oil and gas burn completely when the piston reaches the top, but in fact, the ignition time at high speed and low speed is different. Because the combustion of mixed oil and gas takes time, the ignition time should be advanced at a high speed to give it enough time to burn. The higher the turbine pressure, the greater the horsepower output of the engine. The pressure value is generally between 0.8-1.6bar. If the pressure is too high, the engine life will be reduced or it will be scrapped directly. Factory writing (widely used in European cars)
The so-called original chip transformation is to change the fuel supply and ignition procedures of the original computer, and then improve the power output efficiency. This modification method mostly appears in European cars, because there are many computers in European cars, such as ABS, TCS, and even air conditioners or automatic gearboxes have their own control systems, which control the vehicles quite comprehensively. However, if you use the jumper computer like a Japanese car, there will be many kinds of interference or failures, because the jumper computer must change all the induction signals before it can be input into the original computer. If it is a European car computer, it will be judged as abnormal, which will eventually lead to the computer entering a safe mode and unable to execute. The most serious thing is that the computer may deadlock when driving and the vehicle will lose power. Therefore, most European cars are modified by rewriting the original computer chip program, but with the update of technology, this upgrade method is rare.
Chip modification can be roughly divided into two types: the first type is that the original computer chip program of the old model cannot be rewritten, and the chip storing the fuel supply and ignition data in the original computer must be taken out, and then the rewritten fuel supply program is burned into a new chip and finally put back; The second is that the original computer itself has the function of updating the program. At this time, OBD can be used to detect the afterflow program of socket and computer, thus changing the fuel supply ignition program.
The most difficult thing to modify the chip is the program content. At present, the acquisition of program content can be divided into three types. The first is to buy chips that have been programmed abroad and install and replace them directly; The second way is that domestic agents read the program in the on-board computer, and then upload it to foreign manufacturers who modify the chip program, and then foreign engineers rewrite the program according to the demand, and then return it to domestic agents. The oil supply program of agents covers the original program. This way is equivalent to foreign technicians modifying chip programs for domestic car owners through remote control. At present, the third way is to use the program to enter the original computer system, and the domestic engineers will modify it according to the needs of the owner and the driving conditions and modification scope at that time. However, at present, there are not many shops in China that can independently write on-chip programs, so consumers should remember to pay more attention to the level and modification technology of the shops when purchasing.
