How often does Honda URV clean the throttle?

Under normal circumstances, the throttle of Honda URV should be cleaned every 20-30 thousand kilometers. If it is not too dirty, you can directly clean the throttle with cleaning agent without removing the throttle. But it can be cleaned more cleanly by removing the throttle valve. The cleaning steps for removing the throttle valve are as follows:

1. Find the position of the throttle valve, which is located behind the air inlet and connected to the air filter;

2. First remove the connecting hose between the throttle valve and the air cleaner, and then remove the air cleaner assembly;

3. Then remove the throttle cable, unscrew the fixing bolt and remove the throttle;

4. Use special cleaning agent or carburetor cleaning agent, spray some on the throttle, wait for the organic solvent to dissolve the carbon deposit, and wipe the stain clean after 1-2 minutes.

In addition to the above methods, you can also use the cleaning method without disassembling the throttle, just spray the cleaning agent into the throttle when the engine is running. The practice of most 4S shops and repair shops is to spray cleaning agent into the accelerator while stepping on it. At this time, the vehicle will emit white smoke because the cleaned stains are strongly ignited by the suction cylinder and then discharged. This cleaning method is relatively more harmful to the car, so it will be better and more beneficial to disassemble and clean the car.
