Maybe it's the throttle, a common problem in Ducati.

All cars in Ducati need to shift gears by foot, but many of them are equipped with DQS quick shift system patented by Ducati. When driving and shifting gears, you have this system, and you don't have to grab the clutch, you don't have to turn off the throttle, just step on the block.
