Installing timing belt or chain

Fit model is equipped with timing chain, which is maintenance-free, but it needs to be replaced if it is damaged. Generally speaking, the timing chain can be used for a lifetime, and it needs to be replaced only when it is damaged. If it is not replaced, the engine will be scrapped. The following are the steps to replace the timing chain: 1. Remove the valve cover, crankshaft pulley and timing chain cover. Rotate the crankshaft to the stop point on cylinder 1, and then fix the crankshaft fixing screw. 2. Turn the intake and exhaust camshafts with the grooves at the rear end. Align the grooves of the two camshafts in balance and clamp them with special tools. 3. Remove the old chain and install a new one. Crankshaft pulley has no sliding key. When installing, there is a round hole on the pulley, which needs to be aligned with the groove on the chain shell. 4. The crankshaft position sensor can be adjusted. It needs to be adjusted in place during installation, otherwise it will be invalid. The sprocket and pulley can rotate freely.
