What are the precautions for overwintering management of fruit trees in light snow season?

In winter, fruit trees should be pruned and reshaped, diseased branches and leaves should be cleaned, pests and diseases should be prevented, fertilizers and water should be applied to prevent freezing injury. Please note the following

(1) Before light snow, winter pruning should be arranged reasonably according to the growth and development characteristics and cold resistance of different fruit trees, and it is usually carried out after defoliation in winter to early March. Grapes need to be planted after defoliation and before soil freezing; Apples, pears, peaches, apricots, chestnuts and persimmons can be planted after defoliation and before germination; Cherry, pomegranate and other tree species vulnerable to freezing injury can be planted in spring, while walnut needs to be planted after leaf spreading in spring.

② Insect control and fertilization. After pruning in winter, spraying pesticides to prevent insects according to tree species and adding base fertilizer to fruit trees.

③ wintering and antifreeze. Small trees can bury their branches to keep warm for the winter, or they can use plastic bags to leave only a few branches and leaves, and big trees can paint their trunks white or coated. Proper watering can prevent frostbite.
