The spirit of the sun rises, everything revives, and the New Year opens. As one of the "twenty-four solar terms", it, like Changchun, beginning of autumn and beginning of winter, reflects the changes of the four seasons. It means that the winter when everything is hidden has passed, and it has begun to enter the spring when the weather is warm and everything grows.

The weather is getting warmer and business is booming. Farming production is closely related to the rhythm of nature, and the shocking solar terms are of great significance in farming. Since ancient times, the working people in our country have attached great importance to the solar terms of fright and regarded it as the spring ploughing season.

Grain Rain:

The cold wave weather is basically over. The temperature rises faster. Grain Rain, which means "Rain gives birth to a hundred valleys", has seen an obvious increase in precipitation. The seedlings in the field are newly planted, and the crops in Xinzhuang need rain most. With sufficient and timely rainfall, cereal crops can thrive. It is the reflection of ancient farming culture in festivals.

Twenty-four solar terms are special festivals in the dry calendar to express seasons, phenology, climate change and establish "December construction" (festival). Initially, it was determined by the direction of rotation of the Big Dipper bucket handle. The Big Dipper rotates circularly, and bucket handle rotates around the east, south, west and north for one cycle, and each rotation cycle starts in beginning of spring and ends in the Great Cold.

The current "twenty-four solar terms" are divided by the method of "fixing qi", that is, the solar terms are determined according to the position of the sun on the ecliptic; The "fixed space method" divides the sun's trajectory in one year into 24 equal parts, each 15 is 1 equal part, and each 1 equal part is a solar term, starting from the beginning of spring and ending in the great cold.
