Can you use a multimeter to check whether the throttle position sensor and its circuit of the electronically controlled engine are faulty?
Hello, you can check the electronic throttle position sensor circuit with a multimeter. If the potentiometer throttle position sensor is used, four thin wires and two slightly thicker wires can be found from the plug. The four thin lines are throttle position sensor circuits. You can unplug the plug, turn on the ignition switch, and measure the DC 20 V range with a multimeter. The black stylus is placed on the negative electrode of the battery in turn, and the red stylus is placed on the plug. You can measure a 5 V power supply and a 0 V ground, and the remaining two are signals. Plug back the plug, insert the probe into the back of the sensor plug, and measure with a multimeter within the range of DC 20 volts. These two signals are complementary and add up to about 5 volts.
I hope I can help you!
