What are the sayings of Mid-Autumn Festival?
Statement 1: The most important thing in Taoism is that "on the Mid-Autumn Festival in July, local officials fell, and good and evil on earth were decided, so the Taoist priests chanted scriptures at night and the hungry people were released." Every year on the first day of the seventh lunar month, Yan Luowang opens the gate of hell, releasing a group of ghosts who are not worshipped and enjoying people's sacrifices among the dead. On the last day of July, these ghosts had to return to the underworld before the gate of hell closed again.
Story 2: The legendary Tibetan Bodhisattva, also known as the Lord of the underworld, came to the Yin Dynasty after her mother's death, was imprisoned in her cell and suffered from various hell. As a dutiful son, Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha couldn't bear to see her mother suffer, so she had an affair on July 15th, and let the boy guarding the cell secretly open the cell door and let her out.
Who knows it doesn't matter if the prison door is open? Children in prison swarmed out and ran to the world to harm the people, so there is a saying that "ghosts wander around in July and a half." Those ghosts who run back to their hometown ask for money from home, let them go back to life and get through their joints, hoping to support their lives as soon as possible. Later, people designated this day as Ghost Festival. On Halloween, people will burn paper money and offer sacrifices to show their respect for their deceased relatives.
