How to plant daylily, how to plant daylily.
(1) location selection
Day lily has low requirements for soil, barren tolerance and strong adaptability. It can grow well in clay loam and sandy loam, and can be planted on hillsides and flat land, but fertile soil is conducive to improving yield and quality. Day lily is a perennial crop, so it is necessary to choose a plot with deep and fertile soil layer and no water accumulation.
(2) Apply sufficient base fertilizer
During planting, holes with a depth of15-20 cm and a width of 20-30 cm are first opened, and 50kg of decomposed pig cow dung and compound fertilizer 1kg are applied to every 40 holes. After application, the base fertilizer is mixed with the hole soil.
(3) root pruning of seedlings
Dig out the head of a large clump of day lily that has grown for 5-6 years, divide it into 2-4 plants as a clump, cut off the fleshy roots, leaving only 1-2 layers of new roots, which are 4-5 cm long, and cut off the "root beans" and the black whiskers at the roots. This is beneficial to the vigorous development of new root groups after planting.
(4) timely transplanting
It can be transplanted from the end of picking to February of the following year, but the two solar terms of Bailu and beginning of spring are better. Especially when transplanting Bailu, the rainfall is sufficient, the temperature is suitable, and the plants can enter the long leaf stage twice, which is beneficial to plant division and reproduction. After planting, the survival rate is high, 3 ~ 5 new buds can grow in the same year, and a certain yield can be obtained in the next year.
(5) Reasonable close planting
According to the width of the terrace garden, it is appropriate to use single-row planting or wide-narrow row planting. Single row planting: the row spacing is 80-90 cm, the cluster spacing is 30-35 cm, 2-4 plants are planted in each cluster, and the cluster spacing is 4-5 cm. Three seedlings are arranged in a triangle and four seedlings are arranged in a square. Wide and narrow row planting: generally, the wide row spacing is 80 ~ 100 cm, the narrow row spacing is 60 ~ 70 cm, and the cluster spacing is 35 ~ 40 cm. It can also be planted in the front cliff of the hillside terrace garden, and other crops are interplanted in the garden, with a hole distance of 30 ~ 40 cm.
(6) Planting depth
10 ~ 15 cm is appropriate. Too deep tillers are slow, and enter the harvest period after 1 ~ 2 years; Shallow plants are short, tillers are thin, and they are prone to premature aging, which is easy to affect seedling emergence in case of drought. Water in time after transplanting, and keep the soil moisture content at 70% ~ 80% during transplanting.
(7) timely topdressing
When new leaves germinate in spring 1 round, 500 kg of decomposed human excrement and 5 kg of compound fertilizer are added into the hole, and spring seedling fertilizer is applied in conjunction with intertillage and soil cultivation to make the seedlings grow vigorously and orderly. In mid-April, bolting fertilizer was applied, and urea was applied per mu about 10 kg, laying the foundation for bolting; In the middle and late May, combined with intertillage fertilization, about 10 kg of urea was applied per mu to promote flower stems and create conditions for budding. After picking, cut leaves in time and apply winter seedling fertilizer, and apply human excrement 150 ~ 200 kg and quick-acting chemical fertilizer 10 kg per mu. When applying fertilizer, we should master the principle of "more poor seedlings, less strong seedlings, more thin land, less fertile fields, watering in sunny days and drying in rainy days" according to the growth of plants.
(8) Composting
The root system of day lily occurs from the new basal node every year, and there is a trend of gradual upward growth. Therefore, after the death of winter seedlings, fertile soil should be piled up immediately, which is conducive to the growth of new roots. Newly planted plants don't need to be piled up. Futang mud and river mud are the best, followed by field mud and vegetable garden soil.
(9) Renewal and revival
After the day lily has been planted for a certain number of years, due to poor fertilizer and water conditions, poor management and other reasons, the aboveground parts are tillered into dense clumps, and many thick and fat fleshy roots are produced underground. At this time, the flower buds are reduced, the picking period is shortened, the yield is reduced, and it needs to be updated. Regeneration method: After harvesting, combined with intensive cultivation in autumn, uproot 1/3 old plants on one side of each cluster to promote the whole plant to produce new tillers and sprout new roots, so as to achieve the purpose of regeneration and rejuvenation, and the other side will be rejuvenated after 3 ~ 4 years. 1 ~ 2 years later, dig out all the remaining stumps and dig the soil deeply.
(10) pest control
Common diseases of day lily include leaf spot, leaf blight, rust, anthracnose and stem blight. The main pests are red spider, aphid, thrips and liriomyza sativae. To prevent and control pests and diseases, we must do a good job in agricultural prevention and control. After the day lily is picked, the aboveground part will die immediately, so it should be cut off and transported away in time to reduce the source of bacteria and insects. Top dressing and overwintering cultivation of day lily should be done well to enhance its disease resistance; Update in time, rejuvenate; Selection of disease-resistant varieties and so on. Timely drug control, spraying 800 times of 75% chlorothalonil solution can prevent diseases, spraying 3000 times of Amylol can prevent pests.
