How to adjust the opening and closing angle of BMW throttle

Remove the bonnet, remove the fixing screws of the bonnet, and carefully remove the bonnet, taking care not to damage the bonnet gasket. Wipe off the oil stains on the valve and rocker shaft with a rag to facilitate the valve adjustment operation and find the top dead center of cylinder compression. Turn the crankshaft with a hand crank or pry the flywheel to make the first cylinder in the compression top dead center position.

Throttle matching method

There are three common matching methods: manual matching, power-off matching and diagnostic instrument matching. Generally, zero is required after replacing a new throttle or disassembling and cleaning. The matching process is a computer self-learning process, which re-identifies the position and angle of the throttle.

Manual matching method For the throttle matched with the mechanical cable, the manual reset method is adopted. When the telephone switch is switched on and off several times continuously, the vehicle computer will delete the original throttle memory and store new throttle data. If the verification is successful, you can directly hit the vehicle and drive normally.

After changing the throttle by power-off matching method, disconnect the negative electrode of the battery for a few minutes, and the vehicle will enter a dormant state. During this process, the original memory of the on-board computer will be restored to the factory settings. However, this method is only applicable to the resistance model, and the trial operation can be normal.

Diagnostic instrument matching method uses special diagnostic instrument to read data, and then carries out adaptive value zeroing according to the step prompts, clears the fault code, starts the vehicle, and runs normally, indicating that the matching is successful.
