Precautions for telescopic venous indwelling needle

When using intravenous indwelling needle, the checking system and aseptic operation must be strictly implemented. Before and after each infusion, check the puncture site and vein direction for redness, swelling, pain and discomfort. The limb on the side where the indwelling needle is used should be properly fixed, so as to avoid moving, getting wet by water and bearing loads, so as to avoid blood return and blocking the catheter.

Before each infusion, blood should be drawn and the catheter should be washed with sterile saline for external use. Intravenous indwelling needle can be kept for 3 ~ 5 days, generally not more than 7 days.
