Why is Moutai bottle milky white?
Supplementary information: the history of Moutai packaging
1956 or so, Moutai continues to use local bottles produced by Renhuai. This kind of pottery bottle is divided into two types in shape, one is gourd-shaped and looks like a jar; One is a barrel bottle, which is called a three-stage bottle because it is produced in three stages.
In the 1960s, the market reflected that the traditional Maotai liquor bottle leaked seriously, so it was suggested to use glass bottles, so the factory started corresponding experiments.
From 65438 to 0966, Guizhou Qingzhen Glass Factory successfully trial-produced ivory glass bottles through technical research, which solved the leakage and aesthetic problems of Moutai wine bottles, thus gradually ending the history of using pottery bottles for Moutai packaging. Because the milky glass bottle can avoid light and ultraviolet rays, it is more conducive to the storage of Moutai. At the beginning of bottle changing, ivory glass bottles were mainly used for exporting Moutai, while domestic Moutai still used ceramic bottles. Later, with the increase of glass bottle production, ceramic bottles gradually withdrew from the packaging history of Moutai.
