Clean the throttle of Jaguar XFL every 20,000-30,000 km. If the throttle is not very dirty, it can be cleaned without disassembling the throttle. Clean the throttle valve directly with cleaning agent. But if the throttle valve is removed for cleaning, it can be cleaned more cleanly. The specific cleaning steps are as follows:

1. Find the position of the throttle and connect it directly to the air filter behind the air inlet;

2. First remove the connecting hose between the throttle valve and the air cleaner, and then remove the air cleaner assembly;

3. Then remove the throttle cable, unscrew the fixing bolt and remove the throttle;

4. Apply special cleaner or carburetor cleaner, spray it directly on the throttle, wait for the organic solvent to dissolve the carbon deposit, and dry it for 1-2 minutes.

Not only that, you can also use the cleaning method without disassembling the throttle, just spray the cleaning agent into the throttle when the engine is running. The practice of many 4S shops and after-sales service centers is to spray cleaning agent into the accelerator while stepping on it. At this time, it will be found that the vehicle emits white smoke, mainly because the cleaned dirt is ignited by the oil suction pipe and discharged. Compared with this cleaning method, it is more harmful to the vehicle, so it is generally recommended to remove the throttle for cleaning, which will not cause too much damage to the vehicle.
