The role of wetland in regulating climate

(1) Wetland ecosystem is an ecosystem formed under the condition of excessive moisture and humidity. Swamp is a typical wetland ecosystem, which is dominated by swamp plants and has a wide variety of animals. Wetlands have important functions such as water storage and flood regulation, climate regulation, soil and water conservation, water purification and biodiversity protection. It is called kidney of the earth. It has the characteristics of both water and terrestrial ecosystems, has extremely special ecological functions, and is the most important ecosystem on the earth.

(2) With the rapid development of economy and the rapid increase of population, the number and area of wetlands are decreasing. Due to the influence of human beings, the water level has changed greatly year by year, and the water storage capacity, water storage capacity and flood regulation capacity have decreased, especially after a large number of wetlands have been transformed into paddy fields and dry fields, the ecological functions such as water regulation have greatly decreased. Therefore, the important reason for the large reduction of wetlands is that a large number of wetlands have been turned into paddy fields and dry fields.
