Why is Somalia cold in summer and warm in winter?
Summer cold current: the area near the Arabian Sea is mainly tropical desert climate, the air is particularly dry, and the temperature rises rapidly in summer; At the same time, under the cover of hot air, the water surface temperature in the Arabian Sea rises relatively high. Although the seawater flowing from the East African coast comes from the sea near the equator (low latitude), the water temperature is still lower than that of the Arabian Sea, thus forming the Somali cold current in summer.
Warm current in winter: the winter wind intersects with the Somali coastline, which makes the coast present a shore wind. After the seawater accumulates continuously, it sinks, forming a coastal subsidence current, and the surface hot water sinks southward with the wind, forming a warm current. Due to the dry and hot characteristics of downward flow, Somali winter is not humidified by warm current.
