What does the air supply system do?

The air supply system consists of air metering device, idle speed control valve, supplementary air valve, inertial pressurization air intake system, throttle position sensor, air temperature sensor, etc. The function of air supply system: supply clean air suitable for engine load, measure air quality directly and indirectly, and form the best mixture with gasoline sprayed by injector.

The function of the air supply system is to provide clean air for the engine and control the exhaust volume when the car is running. When the car is driving slowly, the throttle is completely closed. ECU will judge and determine the fuel injection quantity according to whether the throttle valve is closed and the temperature signal of cooling water. The amount of air required for idle operation will flow out from the bypass channel, and the idle speed adjusting screw is installed in the bypass channel to adjust the air flow at normal idle speed; So as to adjust the idle running condition and idle speed of the engine. The main function is to measure the air intake and make appropriate adjustments.
