Plum blossom, also known as "broken plum blossom", refers to the end date of plum rain. Meiyu in Jianghuai area of China usually ends on July 8-12. In some years, the plum blossom period will be delayed, such as 1954 to August 2, and the plum rain period will last for 63 days. After the meiyu, most areas entered the high temperature season in midsummer.
Plum blossoms are the first weekend after a slight summer heat. Therefore, the plum blossom date in the almanac is between July 8 and 19, and the plum blossom period is relatively fixed every year, which is the same everywhere.
