The Poetic Description of Grain Rain
Grain Rain is a seven-character quatrain poem describing the last "solar term" in spring. The works describe the scenes of late spring in most parts of China during this solar term, such as the weather with frequent rain and frost, the green fields with green willows and green tea, and the fields with songs and dances.
At the same time, it is expressed that the agricultural production in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in China was particularly busy at the end of this spring. The first sentence of a large number of agricultural production works planted and managed was "rainy and frosty", and the basic characteristics of the weather in the south of the Yangtze River after entering the Grain Rain solar term were described in just seven words.
"Willow green tea smells fragrant" describes the changes of animals and plants in Grain Rain's solar terms: willow has been green since it sprouted in March and entered the Grain Rain Festival.
After the rest of last winter and the moderate temperature and abundant rainfall this spring, the tea trees in various places are green in color, soft in leaves, fresh in taste and pleasant in aroma. At the same time, swallows returning from the island to the farm kept shuttling between peaches and willows, catching insects and holding mud to build nests.
Precautions:
Grain Rain: This is the sixth solar term in a year. Spring is the last solar term, followed by a long summer. Grain Rain Day falls on April 19 or 20 every year, which is the season for sowing, transplanting, picking beans and picking tea.
The arrival of solar terms in Grain Rain means that the cold wave weather is basically over, and the temperature rises rapidly, which is beneficial to the growth of cereal crops. At this time, seedlings were planted first in the south of the Yangtze River, and the rain around Grain Rain in South China often "sneaked into the night with the wind, moistening things silently". "Late rain" is quite suitable for the growth of crops in Da Chun and the harvest of spring ploughed crops.
Rain frequency: refers to frequent rainy days and abundant rainfall in the south of the Yangtze River in Grain Rain solar terms.
First frost: It means there will be no frost when Grain Rain comes. Therefore, there is a saying that "snow breaks in Qingming Festival and frost breaks in Grain Rain".
Qinghe: It means sunny and warm weather. Wei's Ode to Huai: "The sky is clear and moist, and you are calm and carefree." Wei Zhuang's "See you on the way to China in the same year as Wei": "A good season is peaceful, and I can't bear to hate Jianmenxi."
