What does pcm mean?

Automobile pcm is an EFI engine, called PCM and TCM, in which PCM is dedicated to the control of power output and TCM is used for the conversion control of automatic gearbox. PCM will receive the signals from sensors, control the adjustment of fuel supply, gas distribution (electronic throttle), fuel injection and ignition timing and intake pressure through complicated calculation, and determine the compensation control coefficient of the engine according to temperature, load, knocking and combustion conditions. PCM is to create a trunk between switches, not just to transmit a telephone signal. There are two standards for PCM, E 1 and T 1. China adopts the European E 1 standard, in which the rate of T 1 is 1.544Mbit per second and the rate of E 1 is 2.048Mbit per second.
