How to replace the throttle return spring

Step 1: Find the throttle return spring. The throttle return spring is located on the side of the carburetor.

Step 2: Remove the air cleaner assembly. Remove the wing nut by hand, and then remove the air filter and air filter assembly from the top of the carburetor.

Step 3: Disconnect the throttle return spring. Carefully remove the throttle return springs at both ends with needle-nose pliers, thus disconnecting the throttle return springs.

Step 4: Connect a new throttle return spring. Pass a new throttle return spring through one of the two holes. Then carefully stretch it and pass it through the second eyelet with needle-nosed pliers.
