Does the ventilator have pressure control and volume control?
First, several modes of ventilator
1, pressure support ventilation
When patients spontaneously inhale through the ventilator, they get extra airflow from the on-demand valve group on the ventilator and receive positive pressure support in the airway.
2. Biphasic positive airway pressure ventilation
BIPAP is a pressure/time circulation ventilation mode, commonly known as "universal mode". Two different levels of CPAP, namely P 1 and P2, and their execution times t 1 and T2, are set by software programs. Patients can spontaneously breathe two different levels of CPAP within a set time, and the application of BIPAP mode can better meet the oxygen demand of patients than PAP.
3, airway pressure open ventilation
When the pressure in the airway is continuously and temporarily released, the patient breathes spontaneously in the high pressure section, and the ventilator supplies a large flow of gas to the breathing ring to maintain a certain CPAP level and a higher vital capacity than when the human body breathes spontaneously at atmospheric pressure. In order to assist breathing, CPAP was temporarily lowered. At this time, gas can be passively discharged, and carbon dioxide can be discharged through the natural adaptability of the lungs.
Second, there is a difference between noninvasive ventilator and noninvasive ventilator.
1, invasive ventilator is tracheal intubation and tracheotomy mechanical ventilation, which is used for patients with apnea, severe respiratory failure and severe pneumonia. It is traumatic and inconvenient to use. Pressure control and volume control are commonly used to ensure ventilation and easy expectoration, and to compare the patient ratio.
2. The noninvasive ventilator is mainly connected with the nasal mask, which is convenient to use. Pressure control ventilation is often used, and it is difficult to expectorate, so it is necessary to cooperate with patients. It is mainly used for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, respiratory failure, sleep apnea syndrome and other diseases.
With the continuous improvement of the level of our hospital, the medical equipment is constantly updated. Ventilator is a very common medical equipment in clinic. This device is an effective means to replace the patient's self-powered function. The equipment is mainly used for respiratory failure caused by various reasons, anesthesia and respiratory management during major surgery.
