These two poems are from Fan Chengda's Four Seasons Pastoral Miscellany (Part V).

"Fighting grass", also known as "litigation grass". Every late spring and early summer, rural children get together in the yard, or have a date in Yuanye and Tianchou. Everyone chooses a bag full of this "litigation grass", sits on the spot, takes out one, hooks up with each other, and fights with the rabbis. Those who break will lose, and those who persist will win. In this way, I kept playing until the pocket of "litigation grass" was pulled out.

Jiangnan spring comes early and spring grass grows. The children wrestled each other with grass. The strong man won, and the broken man lost. Fan Chengda's two poems vividly describe the struggle between innocent children and herbs.
