Is it necessary to clean the throttle for in-cylinder direct injection engine?

It is necessary to clean the throttle of in-cylinder direct injection engine. In-cylinder direct injection engines generally need to clean carbon deposits for 20,000 kilometers, throttle valves and injectors for 20,000 kilometers, and air inlets for 40,000 kilometers. When cleaning the carbon deposit on the throttle, it is necessary to remove the throttle. After removing carbon deposits and reinstalling, it is best to re-match the engine computer, otherwise it may lead to an increase in vehicle fuel consumption.

Instructions for use of in-cylinder direct injection engine:

1. Now more and more engines adopt in-cylinder direct injection technology. In-cylinder direct injection can make gasoline and air fully mixed, with higher injection pressure and better gasoline atomization effect.

2. In-cylinder direct injection engine is very easy to deposit carbon, and the parts that are easy to deposit carbon are in the air intake, piston top and valve back. If more carbon is deposited on the piston top, it will increase the compression ratio of the engine and increase the chance of engine knocking. Carbon deposition at the air inlet will lead to poor air intake and insufficient air intake.

3. When cleaning the carbon deposit in the direct injection engine, it is best to remove the intake manifold and clean it thoroughly. The better method to remove carbon deposit is walnut sand removal. Many auto repair shops will use hanging bottles to remove carbon deposits. This method can't remove carbon deposits at all. It is not recommended for riders to use this method to remove carbon deposits. (Photo/Text/Photo: Li Linwei) @20 19
