How to repair the looseness of the rear operating handle of outboard engine

1. Turn the idle throttle limit screw to the position where the compression spring is free.

2. Turn the operating handle, and install the first accelerating cable in the roller groove in the state of being pulled out from the outside, and install the other cable in the state of being fed from the inside.

3. Loosen the lock nut and adjust the length of the throttle cable until the joystick is turned and the throttle can be fully opened and returned, and the two cables can be in a free state.

4. Start the engine at "neutral" idle speed within the range of 1300 rpm to 1 min. If the engine speed is too low, use the random tool to adjust the carburetor idle screw clockwise, if the engine speed is too high, and vice versa.

5. The adjustment of combustible mixture when the engine is idling is mainly determined according to the working stability of the engine idling and the ambient temperature at that time. Generally, the ambient temperature is high, so the concentration of mixed gas can be adjusted to be lean. Turn the mixture adjusting screw counterclockwise for a quarter turn with the random tool to observe the idling stability of the engine, and vice versa.
