What is the difference between CNC five-sided drilling and CNC six-sided drilling for panel furniture?

In the early days, ptp (beam table top) was used to customize furniture. There were strict rules for the placement of plates, based on the front (thick edge or visible surface) and upper edge of plates. However, this kind of equipment has the following problems: the sucker needs to be adjusted and the labor intensity is high. We began to use CNC drill with fixture, which is the usual five-sided drill. Upgrade the hexagonal drill later. What is the difference? as follows

1. Customize furniture panels and cabinet panels. 15%-20% have double-sided perforated panels. If it is necessary to drill holes on five sides, return the board, turn it over manually and hit the second side. This brings two problems: the labor intensity is 20% more, and the productivity of hexagonal drilling will be higher than that of pentagonal drilling15%; Datum switching problem, the datum of double-sided perforated plate is changed, if the cutting accuracy is not enough, it will affect the hole position accuracy.

2. If connecting wires are used, the five-sided drill needs plate backflow, but the six-sided drill does not.

Which one is suitable for use:

-Not productive. Five drills is enough.

-Electronic cutting saw, using hexagonal drill as far as possible (accuracy problem)

2. Up and down drilling covers six-sided drilling.
