Gasoline engine throttle-free technology

The power and speed of traditional gasoline engine are controlled by throttle. The opening of the intake valve is unchanged, and the amount of air entering the cylinder is controlled by the throttle valve. This method is simple, but it can't be said to be the best method, because it will waste energy due to pumping loss. When the throttle is closed, the intake air is determined by the position of each piston, and the pressure in each cylinder remains constant. However, this is like inhaling air with your hand over your mouth instead of inhaling through a small mouth, resulting in inhalation loss. The new gasoline engine without throttle aims to reduce pumping loss. Like the ordinary gasoline engine, it has two camshafts and four valves per cylinder, but an intermediate arm is arranged between the intake cam and the rocker arm instead of the throttle. This intermediate arm is controlled by a motor to change the angle, such as the third camshaft. As soon as the driver's foot leaves the accelerator pedal, the opening of the intake valve becomes smaller, and then the opening of the intake valve becomes larger. Combined with BMW variable valve timing system, the arm can reduce pumping loss and fuel consumption 10. The whole gasoline engine is controlled by computer between the motor and the accelerator pedal.

Variable valve phase technology;

When the vehicle load is heavy (such as car starting and acceleration), the engine speed is relatively low, so the engine needs to provide greater torque. Therefore, the engine generally adopts variable valve VVT and variable lift VTEC technology. The valve timing of the variable valve (now there is a continuously variable valve CVVT) adopts intelligent valve adjustment technology, because the camshaft responsible for valve timing cannot be dynamically changed, and it can only be intelligently and dynamically judged according to the rotation angle of the camshaft, and then the valve can be dynamically adjusted. When it is judged that the engine needs to provide large torque, the valve opening is changed on the basis of the original fixed valve timing, so that the intake air volume is increased to provide large engine power.
