How to Adjust Automobile Valve Clearance

When the valve is completely closed and the valve driving mechanism is located in the base circle of the cam, check and adjust the valve clearance. Therefore, when the cylinder is compressed to the top dead center, the valve clearance between the intake valve and the exhaust valve is usually adjusted at the same time, that is, the valve clearance between the intake valve and the exhaust valve of the cylinder referred to by the ignition head. This method is called cylinder-by-cylinder adjustment.

In practical work, the following adjustment methods are often adopted: "within the line, within the line first" or "double exclusion". In this way, the valve clearance of the whole system can be adjusted only by shaking the crankshaft twice.

1) three-cylinder engine (Tianjin Li Xia TJ376Q engine)

When the cylinder 1 is located at the compression top dead center: when the camshaft semicircle key is located directly above.

Adjustable: 1 cylinder, 2 cylinders and 3 cylinders

2) four-cylinder machine

3) Five-cylinder engine (starting from 8 1, Volkswagen of West Germany introduced in-line five-cylinder engine)

1 - 2 - 4 - 5 - 3

Double row can't get in.

4 - 5 - 3 - 1 - 2

Double row can't get in.
