Legend of Mid-Autumn Festival
August of the lunar calendar 15, Mid-Autumn Festival. This is a festival that has always been praised as the most humane and poetic. I once said that I will miss my family every holiday. Mid-Autumn Festival will miss you more, especially when the moon is high.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is called the Mid-Autumn Festival because the15th day of the eighth lunar month belongs to the Sanqiu system. On this day, the full moon in the sky is particularly bright, big and round, so it is also considered a good day for marriage.
Speaking of the origin of Mid-Autumn Festival, there are many different legends and fairy tales. Among them, there are stories about Chang Mo, Zhu Yuanzhang's moon cake uprising, and Tang Mingdi's visit to the Moon Palace.
The most familiar story is, of course, the story that Chang 'e stole her husband's elixir of life and flew to the Moon Palace. In earlier records, Chang 'e stole a fairy medicine and became a toad, known as the moon essence.
After the moon came out, the Moon Palace where Chang 'e lived was actually a remote place, with nothing but a laurel tree and a rabbit. But there is also a saying that there is a man named WU GANG in the Moon Palace.
Tomb-Sweeping Day (Chinese: Tomb-Sweeping Day), Tomb-Sweeping Day, Tomb Sweeping Festival or Tomb-Sweeping Day is a traditional festival in China, which usually occurs on April 5th of the Gregorian calendar (see China calendar) from winter to 104 (or 15 after the vernal equinox). In astronomy, it is also a solar term (see Qingming). On the first day of the fifth solar term, Tomb-Sweeping Day was named Qingming. Its name symbolizes the time when people go outdoors, enjoy the greenery of spring and take care of the graves of the dead.
In China, Taiwan Province Province, Hongkong and Macau, Tomb-Sweeping Day has always been a legal public holiday. After 1949 was suppressed by the ruling communist party, it was restored as a public holiday in Chinese mainland in 2008.
The transliteration of the word Qingming may take many different forms, some of which are Qingming.
