Is it necessary to clean the accelerator of the car?

When the engine is abnormal, it is necessary to clean the throttle. If the throttle valve is too dirty, there will be too much colloidal carbon or dirt around the throttle valve plate, and the cross-sectional area of the air passage will change, which will make the control unit unable to accurately control the idle intake, resulting in the mixture being too rich or too thin, which will lead to the car shaking.

There are no phenomena such as unstable idle speed, engine jitter, obvious increase in fuel consumption, and weak acceleration, and there is no need to clean it. But if this happens, it is necessary to clean the throttle in time.

Throttle carbon deposit principle:

The throttle valve can be said to be the "throat" of the engine, with the top connected to the air filter element and the bottom connected to the engine block. Arguably, gasoline engine oil doesn't go here, which should have nothing to do with carbon deposition, but there is carbon deposition on the throttle. The main reason is that when engine oil or gasoline vapor enters the intake system through the crankshaft ventilation box, a part will stick to the throttle valve, and a small part will be impurities in the air.

When the air intake of the engine is small, the carbon deposit at the throttle is more likely to accumulate. In other words, the carbon deposit at the throttle is mainly generated when the engine is idling. Because at high speed, the air flow is large and has an impact effect, and the oil vapor is not easy to stick to the throttle. Therefore, reducing idle time and using low-speed and high-speed driving modes can reduce the accumulation of carbon deposits in the throttle.

After carbon deposition in the throttle, the main influence is idle speed. When idling, the opening of the throttle itself is relatively small, and serious carbon deposition will cause the imbalance of the mixer, which will lead to engine jitter and increase fuel consumption. At high speed, the throttle opening is relatively large, and the influence of carbon deposition is very small. Of course, if the carbon deposition is too serious, it will lead to the throttle righting and jamming, but this situation is really rare.
