If the valve is a single-acting valve, there is only one electromagnet. The electromagnet is in one state when it is not energized (such as opening or closing one direction) and in another state when it is energized (closing or reversing). At this point, only one output is needed. One or two inputs can be used (one input controls the on-off of the output at the same time, or one controls the on-off and the other controls the off). If it is a double-acting solenoid valve, there should be two electromagnets, and PLC controls the power supply of the two electromagnets respectively, thus changing the air intake direction of the cylinder. Neither electromagnet is energized, and the valve should be in the middle position (normal position). At this time, there must be at least two inputs to control the on-off of the two outputs respectively. Programming is actually very simple. Taking Mitsubishi FXN series PLC as an example, the program of input X0 and control output Y0 is as follows:
