Approximate maturity time of maize in different places
First, the approximate time of corn maturity in various places
Hebei area: Summer sowing is generally mature from the middle and late September to the middle of 10, and spring sowing is generally from the beginning of September to the middle of September.
Shandong area: Because of the early sowing date, long growth period and high yield of spring corn in Shandong area. In Shandong, spring corn is sown in early April and harvested at the end of August.
Heilongjiang area: The maturity of common corn in Heilongjiang is generally around October 1st (or Mid-Autumn Festival, that is, August 15th of the lunar calendar) every year.
Huguang area: Corn in Hubei and Hunan is usually from mid-June to August. According to different maize varieties, the sowing date is in March.
Second, what is the standard of corn maturity?
Corn maturity can be divided into three stages: milk ripening, wax ripening and complete ripening, and the grain yield is the highest in the complete ripening stage. There are three criteria to judge the complete maturity of corn:
First, the bract leaves of corn turn white and the upper mouth of the bract leaves is loose.
The second is to judge the maturity by the disappearance of milk line, peel the corn fruit steadily and cut it from the middle. You can see that there is a yellow-white dividing line in the middle of the grain, which is the milk line. If you can see the milk line, it means that the corn is in the wax maturity stage. If you can't see this milk line, the corn will be fully mature.
The third is to judge the maturity by the appearance of the black layer. After removing the corn seeds, remove the pedicels at the bottom of the grid particles. If you can see a layer of black, it means that the corn is ripe, and this layer of black is called black layer.
Three, corn growth time and accumulated temperature requirements
1, an early maturing variety
Early-maturing varieties with spring sowing time of 80- 100 days, accumulated temperature of 2000-2200℃ and summer sowing time of 70-85 days and accumulated temperature of 1800-2 100℃ generally have short plants and few leaves, which is14-/. Due to the restriction of growth period, the yield potential is small.
2. Medium-mature varieties
The accumulated temperature of spring sowing 100- 120 days needs 2300 ~ 2500℃. Sow in summer for 85-95 days, and the accumulated temperature is 2 100 ~ 2200℃. The number of leaves is more than that of early-maturing varieties and less than that of late-sowing varieties.
3. Late-maturing varieties
Spring sowing 120- 150 days, accumulated temperature 2500 ~ 2800℃. Sow for more than 96 days in summer, and the accumulated temperature is more than 2300℃. Generally, plants are tall and have many leaves, mostly 2 1-25. Because of the long growth period, the yield potential is great.
