What is the function of idle speed control valve?

Its function is to automatically adjust the idle speed of the engine. It increases or decreases the air intake at idle speed by changing the size of the air duct beside the throttle, so as to achieve the purpose of adjusting idle speed. Idle speed control valve is one of the most widely used idle speed control devices in the world.

Function of idle control valve: 1. The engine computer controls the idle speed control valve to open according to the signal of the throttle position sensor; 2. According to the signals of the water temperature sensor, the engine speed sensor and the air conditioning switch, the opening of the idle control valve is controlled, so as to control the idle running of the engine; 3. Simply put, the engine speed can be well controlled when the vehicle is idling.

Idle speed control valve is powered by ignition switch. As long as the ignition switch is turned to the on position, the idle speed control valve is energized, and the engine computer controls its circuit to be grounded. This valve is used to adjust the idle speed when the working parameters of the engine deviate from the normal value. It is used to open the bypass airway of automobile EFI system to adjust the bypass ventilation and make the engine speed reach the required target value.
