Tomb-Sweeping Day's short story. . . About 100-200 words
Tomb-Sweeping Day's customs are different in scale and manner in southern and northern China. There are also activities such as wearing willow branches, flying kites, collecting firewood, drawing eggs, fighting cocks and swinging. This custom is also popular among the Bai, Miao, Mongolian and Naxi ethnic minorities. Tomb-Sweeping Day is also an important festival for Vietnam, Korea and Ryukyu.
Because Tomb-Sweeping Day is based on solar terms, Tomb-Sweeping Day is one of the few traditional festivals in China that roughly coincide with the solar calendar. Tomb-Sweeping Day is the only festival in Hongkong, Taiwan Province Province and other places that has a holiday according to the solar terms. According to the solar terms, Macau is one of the holidays (the other is the winter solstice), and Chinese mainland has also listed Tomb-Sweeping Day as a public holiday since 2008.

Now Tomb-Sweeping Day has merged a very famous ancient festival-Cold Food Festival. Cold food festival, also known as cooked food festival, smoke-free festival and cold food festival, has been lost in China, but it is still held in South Korea. Its date is 105 days from the winter solstice, and only one day from Qingming. The main custom of this day is to ban fire, cook without fire, and only eat prepared cooked food and cold food, hence the name. After the Song Dynasty, the custom of cold food sweeping graves moved to Qingming. Customs such as spring outing and swinging are only held in Tomb-Sweeping Day. Tomb-Sweeping Day has been upgraded from a simple agricultural solar term to an important festival, and the influence of the Cold Food Festival has disappeared. However, some customs of cold food have been handed down in a deformed way and have been preserved in Tomb-Sweeping Day.
