How to connect mp48 to obd?

The wiring method for connecting the MP4.8 screen to the OBD host is as follows.

The 4pins cable interface of 1 and MP4.8 is a special interface for connecting OBD, which is different from the main power supply and video input interface of MP4.8.

2.OBD host will also have a dedicated 4-pin cable for data output. The definition of this port is: line 1: red, 12V power plus. Line 2: black, ground wire. The third line: white, high-level signal, RXD. Line 4: green, low-level signal, TXD.

3. Connect the 4pins line on the MP4.8 screen to the 4pinsDATA output line of the OBD host one by one: red line to 12V power supply, black line to ground line, white line to RXD signal line, and green line to TXD signal line.

4. After the wiring is completed, the MP4.8 screen will automatically enter OBD mode and display data from OBD, such as engine speed, oil temperature and throttle opening. The data collected by OBD is sent to MP4.8 screen through RXD line, and MP4.8 can analyze and display relevant information.

5. The display is normal, but it is garbled or not displayed. You can check whether the wiring is correct and loose, and you can also check whether the RXD and TXD signal lines are rotating. Only when the RXD line and TXD line are connected correctly can the MP4.8 screen analyze and display OBD data normally.

6. Some models of ODB interface have different positions and use different harness colors. The corresponding connection should be made according to the serial number or function of the printed line on the induction line, not according to the color of the line. The wire number 1 is the positive pole of 12V power supply, 2 is the ground wire, 3 is the RXD signal, and 4 is the TXD signal.

7. There will be multiple 4-pin feet on the 7.MP4.8 screen. Before making the corresponding wiring, you should refer to the product description to confirm which interface is specially used for OBD data input. Incorrect interface wiring will lead to the problem of no data display.
