Xia Meng: Early summer refers to the fourth month of the lunar calendar.

Each of the four seasons of the lunar calendar has the arrangement of "Meng", "Zhong" and "Ji". The three months of midsummer in the lunar calendar are April, May and June, which are called Xia Meng, midsummer and the last month of summer respectively.

Xia Meng is the first month of summer, that is, April is Xia Meng, which is represented by Si in the twelve branches.
