Silkworm rearing is generally in spring and summer, and the growth cycle of mulberry is roughly the same to ensure the adequate supply of mulberry leaves.

Mulberry leaves used for sericulture are prone to yellowing if they are picked for too long, so try to pick as many mulberry leaves as possible. If you pick too many mulberry leaves at a time, you can spray them into woven bags and cover them with plastic sheets.

1. Prepare food: Mulberry leaves must be washed with clear water and dried before feeding. Don't feed silkworms with rotten yellow leaves, otherwise they will be poisoned or have diarrhea. In order to prevent redundant leaves from wilting quickly, they can be placed in plastic bags, tied tightly at the mouth of the bags and placed in the shade.

2. Feed silkworm leaves four times a day, morning, noon, afternoon and evening. The dosage should be appropriate each time to avoid waste. You can put more leaves in the evening because silkworms eat mulberry leaves all night. Ants and silkworms should be fed with tender leaves, and the leaves had better be cut into pieces or strips.

3. Always pay attention to feces and residual leaves: when changing leaves for young silkworms, you can directly cover the new leaves on the old leaves, and then take the old leaves away when the young silkworms climb on the new leaves. This can reduce silkworm casualties and facilitate the removal of residual leaves and silkworm droppings.

4. Don't spray pesticides in the silkworm house, it will hurt the silkworm.
