What are the disadvantages of electronic throttle?

1, there will be throttle lag when the car starts:

At present, most manufacturers use electronic throttle to alleviate the throttle lag, but this device can not improve the engine performance and change the power output and torque. It is just a signal amplifier, and the fuel consumption will increase with the acceleration of the throttle.

2. Nonlinear influence:

There are various nonlinear influences in ETC control system. Besides nonlinear spring, stick-slip friction and clearance, it is also affected by nonlinear damping force and unstable turbulent resistance moment of intake. Therefore, the conventional PID control can not accurately set the feedback gain, which affects the control accuracy.

3. High cost:

ETC system adopts intelligent sensor, quick response actuator, high performance control unit and redundant design, which greatly increases the cost. At present, ETC system is only assembled on high-end cars.
