Throttle opening signal is the reference factor of gearbox shift oil pressure. When the throttle opening is large, the shift oil pressure of the transmission will be large, which will cause shift jitter. Then why is it related to the brakes? Because the vacuum tube of the vacuum booster is connected behind the throttle, this vacuum degree will affect the braking force.

Reading the data stream with a diagnostic instrument, it is found that the throttle opening is 9.8%, which should be about 2.7% under normal circumstances. The greater the throttle opening, the greater the voltage signal sent to the engine control unit ECU.

As shown in the following figure, by adjusting the two fixing screws on the throttle position sensor, the position of the sensor can be adjusted to a suitable range at idle speed. At this time, the engine speed sound will gradually stabilize and the problem of jitter will be solved.

The next step is to solve the problem of high fuel consumption. The main reason is that this additional air valve is broken, as shown in the figure below. When the engine is cold started, the bimetallic spring in this valve body is in the open position, and it should be closed when the engine is hot started. If the engine is also on when the engine is hot started, the engine will have high idle speed, rich mixture and high fuel consumption.

The inspection method is to check the vacuum tube next to the air filter in the hot car state, and there should be no suction, as shown in the following figure.

As shown in the following figure, by reading the fault code, it is found that the VTC oil control solenoid valve of this vehicle is also broken and needs to be replaced. The fault codes displayed are P00 10 and P00 1 1. This solenoid valve often breaks down in this car, the price is one in 200 yuan, and the replacement time is 100 yuan, which is relatively simple.

Through the above fault maintenance, the problems of gear jitter and high fuel consumption of the car have been solved. In fact, the overall quality of the car is still good.
