The idle speed is really high. Should it be cleaned?

1 Connect the decoder, run the engine at idle speed, turn off the electrical appliances and air conditioner, enter the Volkswagen/Audi engine system, and select to read the data stream. After entering the group number 06, press F 1 to observe data item 02. This value is the idle adaptive adjustment value, which should be 1.00 under normal circumstances.

With the change of engine working conditions, such as the vehicle driving for a long time, the throttle body becomes dirty, and the cross-sectional area of air flowing through the throttle will become smaller. At this time, in order to stabilize the idle speed, the throttle opening will be opened appropriately. In this way, the adaptive adjustment value of idle speed will increase a little correspondingly and become greater than 1.00, such as 1.05, 1. 10, etc. But the maximum adjustment value can only be adjusted to 1. 15. If the throttle body continues to get dirty, it will lead to insufficient air intake at idle speed, which will lead to unstable idle speed and even automobile failure. In this case, the parking problem can be solved as long as the throttle body is cleaned. However, the adaptive adjustment value stored in the engine control unit has not been modified, and it is still 1. 15, so the throttle opening will still be large, resulting in excessive idling of the engine.

The simplest solution is to connect Jinde K60, enter the engine system of Volkswagen/Audi, read the control unit code, generally one of 00000000001~ 00007, and then select the control unit code and code it into a code different from the original control unit. The code value is limited to 00000~00007, which will generally solve this kind of problem. If all the control unit codes have been used once and the problem cannot be solved, try to adjust them manually.

3 First, loosen the air inlet hose clamp behind the air flow meter, so that there is a lot of air leakage between the air inlet hose and the air flow meter. Because the mixture is too thin, the idle speed will be low. By controlling air leakage, the idle speed is kept at about 860 rpm (normal idle speed value), so that the engine computer will begin to learn the new idle speed adaptive value.

Then connect Jinde K60, read data stream 06, and observe 06 groups and 02 items. Tap the throttle every ten seconds, and 02 items (idle speed adaptive adjustment value) will decrease little by little with the increase of tapping the throttle. The rate of decline is about 0.02 each time, and it is best to drop to 0.95.

Finally, make a basic setting for the throttle body, then install the intake hose, restart the engine, and the idle speed will be normal.

In the process of engine computer self-learning, the mixture is too lean due to the artificial increase of intake air, and the related faults will be stored in the engine control unit and should be eliminated. Sometimes, due to the instability of idle speed, the adaptive adjustment value of idle speed fluctuates up and down during the self-learning process. At this time, the above operation steps should be continued until the idle adaptive adjustment value is adjusted below 1.00.
