Noise of solar terms
Spring is divided into the fourth of the twenty-four solar terms.
Dong Zhongshu of Han Dynasty said in The Story of the Spring and Autumn Period: "The vernal equinox is half yin and half yang. Therefore, it is hot and cold all day long. " The vernal equinox is just in the middle of three months in spring, so spring is already halfway through. On this day, the position of the sun is directly above the equator, and the length of day and night is almost equal, which is also half that of spring, so it is named vernal equinox. In ancient times, the vernal equinox was also called "Japan-China", "Day and Night Equinox" and "Midspring Moon".
After the vernal equinox, the position of the sun gradually moved northward, and the days began to get longer and the nights began to get shorter. Therefore, there is a saying in the agricultural proverb: "After eating the vernal equinox, the days will be a little longer." In the north, the vernal equinox is the real spring.
