What is the solution for P2 122?

The P2 122 fault code indicates that the accelerator pedal position sensor switch or circuit is low. When encountering this fault code, first check whether the circuit of the accelerator pedal sensor is open or short, or whether the control module of the sensor itself is faulty.

P2 122 fault code, applicable to all automobile manufacturers, indicates that the throttle/pedal position sensor/switch D circuit is low. In the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system, the function of the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor is to transmit the position of the accelerator pedal to the throttle control module in the form of an electrical signal, which serves as a reference for the throttle actuator to control the throttle opening. The fault causes include the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor circuit open circuit or short circuit to ground, APP sensor itself fault, electronic control module (PCM or ECM) fault, etc.
