Cylinder head structure
The cylinder head is a box-shaped part with complex structure. There are intake valve seat holes and exhaust valve seat holes, valve guide holes, spark plug mounting holes (gasoline engines) or injector mounting holes (diesel engines). The water jacket, intake and exhaust passages, and the combustion chamber or a part of the combustion chamber are also cast in the cylinder head. If the camshaft is installed on the cylinder head, there are also cam bearing holes or cam bearing seats and lubricating oil passages on the cylinder head. The cylinder head of water-cooled engine has three structural forms: integral, cylindrical and monolithic. In a multi-cylinder engine, if all cylinders use a cylinder head, this cylinder head is called an integral cylinder head; If every two cylinders have a cover or every three cylinders have a cover, the cylinder head is a cylinder head; If every cylinder has a cylinder head, it is a cylinder head. Air-cooled engines are all single cylinder heads.
