Sunflower solar term operation
As the name implies, sunflower is a flower plant with strong sunshine. It likes warm and sunny climate and does not grow well in dark and humid areas. When planting, you should choose a place that is sheltered from the wind and sunny, and it is not recommended to plant it under a big tree or next to a house.
2. Don't choose soil
Sunflowers have the habit of not choosing soil and can grow normally in general soil, but they are especially fond of sandy soil with good drainage, rich organic matter and loose air permeability. When potted, it can be covered with a layer of fine vermiculite to increase permeability.
3. Poor cold tolerance
Sunflowers have poor cold tolerance. After the first frost of the annual solar term, plants need to be moved to an air-conditioned or heated room for maintenance. For sunflowers cultivated in the open field, plastic bags can be placed on them, and the roots can also be covered with straw to keep warm.
4. Strong adaptability
Sunflowers are native to South America, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and other places, and are cultivated all over China. Wild plants mostly grow on hillsides and fields, and have strong adaptability to climate and soil, and are widely distributed in Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Hebei, Sichuan, Chongqing, Inner Mongolia and other places.
