The origin of Japanese names:

Japan means "the country of sunrise". It was first called "Harmony" or "Japan" (both pronounced as "yamato" and translated into "Bad Horse Platform" in Chinese). Until the first year of Xianheng in Tang Gaozong (670), the Japanese sent messengers to congratulate the Tang Dynasty on pacifying Koguryo. Because they know a little Chinese, they hate the name "Japan", so they changed the name of the country to Japan. The messengers claimed that it was named because it was close to the sunrise.

Japanese flag:

The Rizhangqi (or Rimaru, Rimaru), also known as the Sun Flag, is rectangular with an aspect ratio of 3: 2 (the standard national flag length size). The flag is white with a red sun in the middle.
