China's Spring Festival atmosphere English
The custom of the Han people to celebrate the Spring Festival is generally to eat rice cakes, jiaozi, lilies, glutinous rice balls, fried eggs, big meatballs, whole fish, wine, fuju, apples, peanuts, melon seeds, sweets, fragrant teas and other foods. Dust flying with dust, washing bedding, preparing often, Spring Festival couplets, posting pictures (keeping doors), including jiaozi.
Many activities, such as pasting paper-cuts, stick grilles, pasting blessings, lighting candles, lighting woodpiles, setting off firecrackers, closing the year, giving money, visiting relatives, sending ceremonies, visiting flower markets, posing and jumping into doors, are extremely happy. Wenzhou people have to go to their religion to pray, hoping to achieve happiness with their families in the new year. Most of them are Buddhism.
