Why do you say that spring hits six or nine heads?

This is a rural proverb. It is often said by old people that "every family sells old rice when planting five Kyubi no Youko crops in spring, and every family sells old cows when planting 69 crops in spring", which is a solar term. It means: On May 9th, the beginning of spring will be the beginning of next year's harvest. If there is endless rice, you can sell it. On June 9, beginning of spring, there was no harvest in the coming year, and even the only old cow in the family had to be sold.

According to the proverbs compiled by 24 solar terms, spring begins either on the last day of May 9th or on the first day of June 9th. From the day of the winter solstice, nine days later, it will be September 19, and so on, and by June 9, it will be fifty-four days.

People who grow crops in rural areas are most afraid of beginning of spring on June 9, because they have worked hard to grow food, but there is no good harvest, and farmers will be very sad. On the last day of May 9th, when spring begins, farmers will be particularly happy and can harvest more grain.

Therefore, these proverbs have become the basis of rural farmers' farming. If beginning of spring is on the last day of May 9th, they will plant a lot of Zhuang marriages, because in beginning of spring, Zhuang marriages will get a lot of water at this time, and they will grow well.

Beginning of spring, a solar term, has become the most concerned solar term for rural people. Because rural people have nothing to do but grow crops to increase their income, they especially hope that crops can have a good harvest.
