Throttle is a controllable valve to control air to enter the engine, mainly to control and adjust the air intake of the engine.

After the gas enters the intake pipe, it will be mixed with gasoline to form a combustible mixture, which will be burned to do work. It connects the air filter and the engine block, and is called the throat of the automobile engine. There are two kinds of throttles: traditional cable throttle and electronic throttle. The traditional engine throttle control mechanism works by pulling a cable (soft steel wire) or a pull rod. One end of the cable is connected with the accelerator pedal, and the other end is connected with the accelerator linkage plate. The electronic throttle mainly uses the throttle position sensor to control the throttle opening according to the energy required by the engine, so as to adjust the intake air.

The throttle valve is broken. The fault can be divided into hard fault and soft fault: 1. The hard fault is mechanical damage. The resistance part of potentiometer is formed by spraying a layer of carbon film on polyester substrate, which is actually a very low-level preparation process with low wear resistance. It is easy to have unstable engine reading speed and difficult engine starting, especially cold start. The engine is rapidly unstable or not idling; It is difficult to start the engine. In addition, the carbon powder on the carbon film falls off, which leads to poor contact and ignition is inevitable.

2. Soft fault: refers to dirt, maladjustment, etc. People often worry about cleaning the throttle, because most of the time the throttle is too low. Air flows through the gap of the throttle at high speed (tens to hundreds of meters per second), and the influence of dust on the airflow exceeds the adjustment ability of the throttle. The throttle valve needs to be replaced regularly, and the length of time mainly depends on factors such as air filter quality, engine oil quality and vehicle road conditions.
