Is it better to rain or not to rain?
It's good to have rain in the solar terms. As the saying goes, "Spring rain is as expensive as oil". Generally speaking, it is beneficial before and after rain, because proper precipitation is very important for the growth of crops. In rural areas, there is also an agricultural proverb "Rain and dew make crops good, and Koharu in Da Chun is a treasure", which means the same as spring rain. "Da Chun" refers to crops sown in spring, while "Koharu" refers to crops sown last autumn and harvested in spring and summer this year. The sowing and germination of "Da Chun" crops and the jointing of "Koharu" crops all need water. Therefore, a solar term with rain is good for both summer and autumn crops.
