2GR engine is noisy.

Possible causes of abnormal sound of timing wheel

(1) Gear combination clearance is too large or too small.

(2) The center distance between the crankshaft main bearing hole and the camshaft bearing hole changes during use or repair, and becomes larger or smaller; The center lines of crankshaft and camshaft are not parallel, which leads to poor gear engagement.

(3) The gear tooth profile is processed inaccurately, deformed by heat treatment or excessively worn on the tooth surface;

(4) When the gear rotates once, the meshing clearance is not uniform or undercut occurs;

(5) The tooth surface is scarred, delaminated or the gear teeth are broken;

(6) The gear on the crankshaft or camshaft is loose or disengaged;

(7) The gear face runout or radial runout is too large;

(8) The axial clearance of crankshaft or camshaft is too large;

(9) Gears are not replaced in pairs.

(10) After replacing the bearing bush of crankshaft and camshaft, the meshing position of gears has changed.

(1 1) The fixing nut of the camshaft timing gear is loose.

(12) The teeth of the camshaft timing gear are broken, or the gear is broken radially.
